Feeling short on energy and crushing pain from Fibromyalgia? Too many times to count for sure.
The last blog I wrote I talked about the relationship of Fibromyalgia and the thyroid. In that, I showed a healthy “conversion” process taking place in our body can further help eliminate debilitating pain and absolute exhaustion.
In order for that to happen we need nutrients available. Then life is so much easier taking care of the kids, making the bed, running to the grocery store without a set back of pain or exhaustion!
We may be taking in all the necessary vitamins and minerals, yet there are some nutrient blockers keeping us from absorbing what our thyroid needs. Whether you have been tested or not by lab work, I’d like to help you find some simple “fixes” that can help with absorption.
You may not want to hear this, but magnesium is a mineral that can be reduced by the coffee we drink. Lack of magnesium can contribute to pain. Love your coffee yet reducing it can help you to absorb this mineral better. If you want a coffee substitute, Green Tea or any Herbal tea is enjoyable. You can even make them a latte or steam milk or milk substitutes. I find many cafes that will make them for me.
Coffee and tea (not an herbal) has been known to reduce iron or create a deficiency. Also excessive amounts of calcium may also contribute to iron deficiencies. Iron helps with that “conversion” process supporting your thyroid.
Zinc also supports the thyroid. It’s a strong anti-inflammatory helper. Zinc can be depleted from eating lots of chocolate. Chocolate has high copper which tends to reduce zinc if too much is consumed.
What if you’re taking Vitamin D? Make sure you are absorbing it by taking this with a healthy fat.
These are just a few things that YOU CAN DO.
Debilitating fatigue and searing pain are only some of what women with fibromyalgia suffer with. My desire is to help women stop feeling alone, frustrated, scared and misunderstood. That’s why I would like to get on the phone with you and learn what you need. I can help.
